The Estate of My Uncle Sam: A Novel Approach For Understanding Government
Finances, is a fascinating fictional story filled with both humor and insight based on
fascinating and well-researched accounts of how the federal government squanders
untold billions of dollars every year.
Author Phillip D. Meyers spins an ingenious tale involving two American brothers who
are shocked to discover that they have inherited membership in a secret organization,
known as the CRA, which remarkably owns almost 40 percent of all outstanding
public debt! With financial ties reaching back to the American Revolution, the CRA
now has little confidence in America’s ability to pay them back, much less stop from
going further in debt. As a result, the CRA plans to transfer their huge investments
overseas, which would lead to the financial collapse of the United States.
But the enterprising brothers develop a clever plan, based upon blackmail, to force
the government big spenders and other bureaucrats to mend their ways. The CRA
may be willing to support the plan, but to be successful everyone must thoroughly
learn the fascinating and often humorous details of how the government wastes the
bulk of its revenues.
The traditional dry subjects of federal spending and budgetary problems –in addition
to the financial future of the United States—are presented in a remarkably
approachable form, with tremendous credibility, because the tale is based upon real
government spending numbers and statistics.
